This guide will explain how to enable fingerprint gestures on Samsung. Galaxy S8. You can make it easier to control and navigate the phone by enabling fingerprint scanner gestures.
Once opened, you can swipe down on the notification bar with the swipe of a finger to get easy access to the quick setting menu in the pop-up bar. Now you can quickly enable WiFi, Bluetooth and more when using the phone with one hand. Find out how in our video below.
Enabling Galaxy S8 Fingerprint Gestures
All you have to do is go into the settings and turn them on. Additionally, Samsung has added a quick move for Samsung Pay, which we’ll talk about below.
Instructions
Now swipe down on the fingerprint scanner to access notifications when using the Galaxy S8 or S8+ with one hand. This saves you from having to shuffle the phone in your hand and reposition it to reach the top.
This will reduce the moments when the phone might slip and fall out of your hand.
Samsung has also added an option to enable a gesture to launch Samsung Pay, the company’s mobile payment service. Samsung Pay must be active and on the home screen to enable gesture. Once done, swiping up on the sensor launches Samsung Pay.
This is a feature we’ve seen in other Android devices from Huawei and Google, only with more control. Hopefully, Samsung can make this more useful with software updates in the future. While you’re here, check out some of the best Galaxy S8 cases in our slideshow below.
