You may have noticed how much of a hassle it can be if you share a lot of files with your coworkers or friends. There are basically two ways to share a file. You either attach the file to emails or any other service that allows you to do this (WhatsApp, Slack, etc.), or you upload the file to a cloud storage service first, create a shareable link, and then share that link with the user. the person you want. Both methods are time consuming and come with their own limitations. For example, if you use services such as e-mail to send a file, you are limited to a very small file size (<20 MB). That's why you use cloud storages to share files larger than that, which comes with another set of issues.
Sharing a file is difficult and takes time, at least a lot more than it should. That’s 3 steps that happen with just one click. All I have left is to share the link. When I share the link, the recipient can tap the link to download the file.
Also on Droplr Integration with various 3rd party applications such as Slack, Hipchat, Twitter, Basecamp, and more. When you share the link of these services, people will be able to preview the file before downloading it. Also …. have Plugins for various creative software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Sketch. This means you can easily share your projects without leaving your app. All these added features improve the user experience of the software. Droplr is one of those apps that you don’t really know you need until you use them. And after using them there is no way to go back.
Pricing and Availability
As I mentioned before, Droplr is only available for macOS and iOS. Windows and Linux users will have to make do with the web app, which in my experience isn’t all that bad. When it comes to pricing, it is costly software. You can use free account, but this is quite restrictive and only allows 10 shares (call “drops”) per month. If you want unlimited shares, you will need to purchase the Pro subscription for approx. $10/month. Now, that might seem too loud for software that only lets you share things, and frankly, it is. However, you can get it for as little as $30 per year by searching the internet for the coupon code. You can also get great discounts if you’re purchasing the software for a team.
