You can only use the iPhone X Control Center on your new iPhone in one spot, and not by swiping up from the bottom of your screen. Here’s how to use Control Center on iPhone X, including how to customize it.

Instead of scrolling from the bottom, you should. The bottom edge of the iPhone X is the home button and is also used for gestures.

Swiping down from the top-right corner opens the Control Center for you. If you swipe down from the middle or left corner, you will go to Notification Center. Even with a smaller screen within your reach, so you may have to use both hands to navigate to the Control Center on your iPhone X.

Swipe down from the top right corner to open Control Center.

Currently, you can only access Control Center from the home screen, Lock Screen or Notification Center. Once in Notification Center you can swipe down again for Control Center. We hope this is something Apple plans to fix with an iOS update, as we often use the Control Center when we’re in apps.

If you normally open the Control Center to get to the flashlight, you no longer need to go there. Instead, you just swipe down from the top of the iPhone screen to open the Notification Center, which now has a camera and a flashlight shortcut.
