macOS Mojave brings a small but very useful feature for users. This feature is called “Continuity Camera” and it basically allows users to instantly take and transfer photos and documents from their iPhone to their Mac. It’s a feature that can come in handy in many real-life situations. For example, you can use this feature to quickly file expense receipts on your Mac. However, Apple has made this feature a bit obscure and not everyone can discover it on their own. That’s why we bring you this tutorial that will show you how to use Continuity Camera on macOS Mojave:

note: Both your iPhone and Mac must be signed in using the same Apple ID for this feature to work.

Before we get into the tutorial, let’s see which apps support this feature. From now on, you can use the Continuity Camera feature to import pictures or documents from your Notes and Pages document or directly inside your Finder. I’ll be using the Pages app to showcase this feature in this tutorial.

  1. Launch the app you want to import the picture from, and then Click on the Edit menu of the application accessible from the Menu Bar.

2. Here, Hover over “Add from your iPhone” and then Choose whether you want to take a photo or scan a document. For the purpose of this tutorial, we will choose the “Take Photo” option.
