Instagram’s IGTV app is here, and a bunch of popular creators have already started creating videos for the platform. If you are also interested in sharing your videos on IGTV, we are here to tell you how to upload videos from both channels to IGTV. Android and iOS mobile applications and also from the web; so follow.
note: IGTV supports a maximum video time limit of 60 minutes. However, this only applies to verified and large accounts. Each receives a maximum video time limit of 10 minutes. Also, if you have a verified page, you have to use the web interface if you want to upload videos longer than 10 minutes.
Upload Videos from Mobile to IGTV
I assume you already have a channel on IGTV. If you don’t, check out our two-step guide to creating an IGTV channel. When you’re done, follow the steps below to upload your videos from mobile to IGTV.
- On the main IGTV screen, tap your profile icon to view your channel. Here, you can tap on the ‘Plus’ icon or ‘Upload video’ in the top right.
- Give IGTV the necessary permissions and select the video you want to upload. Note that you cannot capture videos from the IGTV app itself.
- When you’re done, you can fill in the details about the video and even change the cover of the video.
The video will then be uploaded to IGTV. It’s that easy.
Upload Videos from Web to IGTV
You can also upload video from Instagram website to IGTV. Here’s how you can do this.
- Go to the Instagram website on your desktop and go to your profile.
- You will see a section labeled ‘IGTV’. Click on it and you will have the option to upload a new IGTV video.
- You can now upload your video, choose a cover image, add a title and description, and choose whether you want to make it available on your Facebook Page.
