I already showed you how to unlock Galaxy Nexus, but I found a much easier method to unlock and root Galaxy Nexus on Verizon.
This guide will show you how to unlock and root Galaxy Nexus on a Windows PC or Mac and will require significantly less time and effort.
Before you unlock and break your Galaxy Nexus, know that this voids your warranty and there is a chance your phone might break. In such a case, we are not responsible.
What do you need

This action will erase everything on your phone. Before unlocking your phone, be sure to back up your photos and files to your computer. If you are using a Mac, you will need this guide to connect Galaxy Nexus to Mac.

If your phone hangs at boot by flashing in the Google startup color sequence, don’t pull the battery. Wait for 10 – 15 minutes and try to turn off the phone by pressing and holding the power button. If all else fails, you can try removing the battery, but only after waiting for 10 to 15 minutes.
You are now unlocked and rooted. If you want to know what to do next, I suggest you check out Chris’ Custom Galaxy Nexus setup.
