It’s safe to say we love our devices. At least, we love them enough to always be there to ask questions and provide new information about the world around us. Microsoft wants you to love the new Windows 10 operating system and your Windows device. Coming in just a week, the free Windows 10 upgrade isn’t just about giving you new features to play. It also has many modifications designed to make life easier.
Uninstalling apps in Windows 8 wasn’t always difficult. That being said, it wasn’t entirely clear either. Getting rid of something on your PC required you to know whether it was an application or a program, which most people didn’t know. Once you understood this, you had to find the right place to remove everything you wanted to get rid of. Apps downloaded from the Windows Store had their own methods. There was another of the programs downloaded over the Internet.

Windows 10 fixes these problems. First, it doesn’t matter if it’s an app or program you want to get rid of. Removing it from your device works the same way. Here’s how to uninstall apps and programs in Windows 10.
For the most part, Control Panel has been removed from Windows 10. Instead, Microsoft added more features and improved settings in the custom Settings app. It is this application that offers the easiest way to uninstall apps and programs in Windows 10.
Click on it with your mouse Windows button In the lower left corner of your screen. If you are using touch, you must touch the same button.
Tap or click now Settings The gear in the Start Menu. Touch users should also see the Settings cog, but first you have to tap the menu button in the upper left corner of your screen to bring up the apps and shortcuts area. It should be just above the power button.

Tap or click Apps and Features The menu item on the right side of the System Settings menu. It’s the third option from the top of your screen.
Now you will have to wait for the Settings app to scan your computer.
Uninstalling things is easier in Windows 10 because it gives you a dump of all the relevant information you need. Just say you want to free up some space. From this screen, you can see which apps are taking up the most space. Maybe you have stability issues that aren’t always there? You can see which day you installed each app or program. You can reorder the list by name, upload size, or date. There is also a search bar to find a specific app or program that you want to remove in a hurry.
For the purposes of this tutorial, we’re removing PayPal. Tap or click the name of the app or program you want to remove.
There is a Move button here as Microsoft initially plans to allow users to install apps on an SD Card. This feature is still coming, but it didn’t arrive in time for the final release. Ignore this button and click on it remove.
When you uninstall an app in Windows 10, the information associated with the app is also gone. This ensures that no trace of the application remains on your system. It’s all about really good computer hygiene. If you’re sure you want to uninstall the app and get its information, tap or click on it. remove in the popup window.
Now just give the Settings app time to get rid of the app. If it’s a smaller app, it happens within seconds. Larger apps may take more time to uninstall from Windows 10.

Again, be absolutely sure you want to uninstall an app or program before doing this. There’s nothing worse than having to rewatch your passwords and information for an app if you don’t have it. Any programs you’ve uninstalled – iTunes, for example – should be downloaded from the web or wherever you originally installed them, if for some reason you decide you want to get them back. Don’t forget to also check the Windows Store, traditional Desktop programs are available in Windows 10. Apps you download from the Windows Store can be downloaded here and you don’t have to pay for them again if you already have them.
Apps and programs built into Windows 10, such as Mail or Calendar, cannot be uninstalled. Apps added by your device manufacturer may be removed.
