The Verizon iPhone 6 and Verizon iPhone 6 Plus finally support simultaneous voice and data, which is a fancy way of saying you can talk and use the Internet at the same time. The only problem is that you have to turn on the volume and data on Verizon iPhone 6 before using it.

We will show you how to unlock Verizon iPhone 6 audio and data and explain how you can use it.

Thanks to the new Verizon VoLTE connection, you can now make calls using the fast LTE connection on your iPhone, instead of the old connection style used by iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, and other Verizon iPhones when making phone calls.

Besides offering better voice calls, you can talk and surf the web at the same time. This seems like a small deal, but it allows you to look up directions to a restaurant or check anything else without hanging up and calling someone back.

Here is how you can turn on Verizon iPhone 6 audio and data so you can use this new feature. You can only use this when you have an LTE signal, but the good news is Verizon offers widespread 4G LTE coverage.

Verizon’s proprietary HD Voice & Video calling feature only works when calling another Verizon enabled device, but you can use VoLTE for simultaneous Voice and Data on Verizon iPhone 6 as long as you’re connected to LTE.

How To Turn On Verizon iPhone 6 Voice & Data

You need to turn it on in your iPhone 6 settings before using it. On Verizon iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus.

When you make a call on VoLTE, the call is made over the phone’s data connection. This makes calls sound better, but calls continue to use your minutes instead of your data. Verizon calls it Advanced Voice Search 1.0 and the other user must use a capable device to use HD Voice & Video calling. This doesn’t work when you call another carrier, landline and many other mobiles on Verizon.

This is only available on iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, LG G2 and Samsung Galaxy S5. You also need to make sure Advanced Search is turned on in your Verizon account. You may need to open Advanced Search 1.0.

While VoLTE support is part of iOS 8, the iPhone 5S iOS 8 update doesn’t let you use this feature to talk and navigate on the iPhone 5s.
