T-Mobile began the process of rebuilding its image years ago. This original step, where the company would revolutionize wireless services in the United States by giving people what they wanted, seemed overwhelming. It’s 2017, years after the company started reinventing itself. His promises seem to have been kept. Verizon Wireless and other carriers outdo themselves to offer unlimited data to their users. At the same time, every major carrier eventually separated the cost of purchasing a smartphone from their postpaid plans.
Still, T-Mobile HD transitions were a huge misstep for the company. Introduced with T-Mobile One plans, the company’s original idea seemed designed to force subscribers to limit the amount of data they use. T-Mobile One offered an unlimited amount of data, but limited the resolution of high-definition video streams unless users explicitly told the operator that they wanted high-definition streaming for that day, so T-Mobile HD passes. Along with the option to add a free permanent HD Pass, users of the new T-Mobile One plan get 10GB of free tethering on their smartphones.

Unlocking T-Mobile HD Passes: What You Need to Know
One of the biggest problems with T-Mobile HD transitions was that the software that condenses your video streams and watches high-definition video forces you to log in and add a pass to your account every time you want to roam. This is the big reason why everyone is celebrating these new changes in plans. You only need to add it to your T-Mobile account once.
To successfully add T-Mobile HD Pass, you must be signed in to your T-Mobile account. If you haven’t signed up for a T-Mobile account yet, go ahead and sign up. T-Mobile apps and the My T-Mobile website give you granular control over your account and everything related to it.

Unlocking T-Mobile HD Passes: Let’s Get Started
For the purposes of this tutorial, we are using T-Mobile for Android. Open the T-Mobile app on your smartphone and sign in. Note that the T-Mobile app may ask you to disable your Wi-Fi before getting details about your account.

You’re looking for a T-Mobile Data plan that says “Unlimited Plus Promotions with HD Video & More” option. Look for the same option in the T-Mobile app when trying to switch plans. You can navigate to this area by tapping the button in the BingeOn area in the Phone app.

If you have one of T-Mobile’s Simple Choice Plans, you’ll need to upgrade to the T-Mobile One; the two are separate plans with different structures. These users will need to upgrade to the new T-Mobile One plan to add this permanent T-Mobile HD pass to their line.
