1. First, go to your profile and open the hamburger menu (three horizontal line buttons) from the top right corner. Here, Tap on “Settings” below.
2. Then, “Privacy” and go to the “Messages” section.
3. At the bottom of the Message Controls page, tap on “Contacts on Facebook” or “Others on Facebook” and select “Receiving Request” choice.

This much. You have now disabled message requests on both Instagram and Facebook. People other than your followers or people you follow cannot send you messages on the photo sharing platform.
