If you want to move photos from Lumia 635, you probably noticed one of the most important things Microsoft has done with its mobile operating system and hardware. Windows Phone is not the stepchild of the wireless industry as it once was. Today, most of the devices Microsoft makes are just as good, if not better, than their direct Android and iPhone competitors. The Lumia 635 and its camera experience are a perfect example of this. Whether you’ve taken a single photo or just need to zoom out a ton of photos from your Lumia 635, here’s how to do it.
Before you begin, it is important that you have all the necessary tools to get the job done and are familiar with the options available to you. In most cases, you move your recorded pictures and videos from your device to your PC using a USB cable. You can still do this with the Lumia 635, but not out of the box. Microsoft actually doesn’t provide users with a USB cable with the Lumia 635, meaning you’ll have to find a spare USB cable throughout the house or buy it separately at the cost of the device. So instead of asking you to do this – which you certainly can if you’re prepared to spend a little more with the Lumia 635 – we’ll show you how to transfer the photos you take and the videos you record using Microsoft. OneDrive cloud sync service.
First get your Lumia 635 and it. If you have a password on your device, you must enter it now.
Welcome to the Start Screen. Usually this is where you can quickly and easily access the applications installed on your phone. Look at the Settings tile represented by a large gear. By default, most Lumia 635 versions sold do not include the Settings app directly on the Start Screen. Put your finger anywhere on your screen and swipe left to see the list of all installed apps on your Lumia 635.
Scroll to S and tap to open the app.
Tap on it.
Search for it in the list and tap on it.
Inside the Photos + Camera screen, go to the bottom area that houses it. Tap on it.
Open photo upload. Tap on it. Do the same for videos.
From now on, every picture you take or video you record will be uploaded to Microsoft’s OneDrive cloud storage service. This means you don’t need to buy a USB cable as your Lumia 635 will automatically upload the best version of every photo and video you take.
There is a catch for this to run smoothly. You must have a Wi-Fi connection at home. Typically, if you have a smartphone, you already have Wi-Fi at home, but any Wi-Fi connection will do. If you don’t have a wireless network available, go back to the Photos + Videos area and select Fine Quality instead. This will allow your Lumia 635 to upload photos to your wireless data connection. Note that data charges will apply and will not look as good as uploaded over Wi-Fi.
Accessing These Photos
Now that you have uploaded your photos wirelessly to Microsoft servers, you need to access them from your PC to be able to upload them to Facebook or save them for later enjoyment. As it turns out, this is actually the easiest part of it all. For this to go well, you need to know the username and password of the Microsoft Account you used to set up your Lumia 635. For most Microsoft Account holders, this is the same username and password they use for Xbox One, Xbox. 360, Windows 8 and Outlook email.
Go to your PC or Mac and open it.
Open your web browser and go to. No, it doesn’t have to be a Microsoft-made web browser. Safari, Chrome, and Firefox work pretty well with OneDrive.
Click the button in the upper right corner.
Now enter this username and password for the Microsoft Account you used to set up your Windows Phone.
Welcome to OneDrive. If your OneDrive doesn’t seem as crowded as ours, don’t worry. Look for the folder labeled. Click on it to open.
For now, go here to find the photos and videos you’ve taken with your Lumia 635. Right-click any image or video to download it to your PC or Mac for safe keeping.
Take happy photos and don’t forget to connect to a Wi-Fi network often if you are worried about losing some of your photos. Of course, there’s also the option to purchase a USB cable and upload your images directly to your computer.
