In this guide we will show you how to transfer your Clash of Clans village to a new phone. Whether you cracked the screen, upgraded your phone, or recently switched from iPhone to Android (or vice versa), here’s how to get your village back.
A few years ago there were several ways to backup and transfer Clash of Clans to a new phone, but they were all confusing and difficult. Now all you need is a Supercell ID and you will never lose your progress in any Supercell game.
This will allow you to move your village from Android to iPhone to a new phone or a second device if you want to play on a tablet. Follow the steps below or watch our quick how-to video.
If you’re on Android, you’ve probably connected your village to Google Play Games and it still works for transferring to a new phone. iPhone users can also restore a village with Game Center, but setup and Use Supercell ID. There are no passwords to remember and they email you a secure 6 digit pin every time you log in, making it super simple.
If you have completely lost your village or your phone has been lost/stolen and you are unable to create a Supercell ID, we will still show you how to get your village back at the end of this guide.
How to Transfer Clash of Clans to a New Phone (Create Supercell ID)
If you can’t watch the video above, know that it’s really easy to transfer your Clash of Clans village to a new phone. As long as you have an old phone, just follow the steps below.
Create a Supercell ID. Open Clash of Clans, tap the 3-Gears Settings Button and click the red “Disconnected” button next to Supercell ID.
Tap Sign Up Now to create, verify and confirm your account and village by entering your email.
Enter the 6-digit verification code sent to the email address you just registered with Supercell.
Once you hit Submit, you’re done. Now Clash of Clans will be securely saved to your Supercell ID forever. When you need it, you can restore it to any device on iOS or Android.
Now, open Clash of Clans on your new phone or tablet and basically repeat the steps to sign in to your Supercell ID and restore your village. You may see a prompt on the first screen otherwise go to Settings and click the Red Disconnected from Step 1 button.
Sign in to your Supercell ID on the new device and enter your new 6-digit verification code.
Now load your game account linked to your Supercell ID (restore your village).
It’s that simple. Create a Supercell ID on your old phone or tablet, then sign in to that Supercell ID on your new device and it will instantly transfer your entire Clash of Clans village. Make sure you have registered the correct village with your ID or you may lose an account forever. Just slow down and be careful.
Now you will always be able to access your village using just your Supercell ID no matter what device you have or whatever. It even works in Clash Royale, Boom Beach or Brawl Stars.
