How to Take a Screenshot or Screen Record Using Gestures on Honor View 10

The Honor View 10 is here and it is the first budget flagship device to have a processor with an embedded NPU inside. While AI is the main attraction of the device, there are many other features available on the phone. One of the most notable things is that Huawei/Honor’s EMUI 8.0 skin is superimposed on Android. The custom look comes with lots of modifications and customizability. A unique feature found in EMUI 8.0 is the ability to take screenshots or start screen recording using tap gestures. So if you’re wondering how to use the same thing, keep reading as we show you how:

Take Smart Screenshot or Screen Recording on Honor View 10

1. To get started, go to: Settings -> Smart assistance -> Motion control.

2nd row below “Knuckle Movements” section, tap on “Smart screenshot”. Now, Enable the toggle next to “Smart screenshot”.

And that’s it. You can now use knuckle gestures to execute various actions corresponding to a gesture, for example:

  • Normal Screenshot

To take a normal screenshot hit it twice Press the screen firmly with your finger.

  • Capture Part of the Screen

Draw a closed area with your knuckle To capture part of the screen

  • Scrolling Screenshot

To take a scrolling screenshot, first hit with your finger firmly on the screen and then draw an “S” with the same.

  • Screen Recording

To start screen recording on your device double-tap the device using your two knuckles at the same time.

Easily Take Screenshots with Honor View 10

Taking screenshots is something we do in our daily activities. Honor has tried to offer a unique and innovative feature to start screen recording as well as screen capture with knuckle gestures. That being said, I personally found it to be a pretty awkward process. I found three finger swipe to be a much simpler way to take a screenshot.
