However, if you use Microsoft Outlook for official and personal purposes, maintaining another email can be difficult. But you can make the most of Gmail’s advanced filters and spam protection functions. So would you do that? Google’s Gmailify plugin lets you sync Outlook and Yahoo mail with your regular Gmail Inbox.

Stage 1: Visit Gmail on the web. Tap Settings in the top right corner and go to See All Settings.
Step 2: Go to the Accounts and Import tab.
Stage 3: Scroll down to Check mail from other accounts.
Step 4: Select Add mail account. Add your Outlook ID and Password and you will see your Outlook account is linked with Gmail.
In a few minutes, your Outlook emails will appear in the Gmail Inbox. Gmail will use the same filters and arrange them accordingly.
on mobile
You can also set up Gmailify on your mobile device. When you try to add Outlook with the Gmail mobile app, the app prompts you to link the account using Gmailify. Follow the steps below to sync Outlook with Gmail on mobile devices.
Stage 1: Open the Gmail app on your iPhone or Android device.
Step 2: Tap on the hamburger menu at the top and select add account.
Stage 3: When you choose Outlook, the app will ask you to try the Gmailify service.
Step 4: Add the relevant Outlook ID and password and you’re ready.

Problems with Gmailify

- You will notice a delay in new email received in Gmail. You will run into problems if you use Outlook mail to receive basic emails like OTP or temporary codes.
- It’s confusing to keep track of which email came from Gmail and which from Outlook.
- There is no way to sync multiple Outlook accounts with Gmailify. You will need to unlink the previous account and then add a new account.
Unlink Outlook from Gmail
At any point, you can unlink Outlook from Gmail and go back to using Outlook web to manage your email inbox. Follow the steps on the desktop to disable Outlook syncing with Gmail.

You can also disable Outlook sync on mobile devices. Follow the steps below to remove Outlook sync from Gmail using the mobile app.
Stage 1: Open the Gmail app on your iPhone or Android device.
Step 2: Tap on the hamburger menu and go to Settings.
Stage 3: Go to Email Inbox. Scroll down to Gmailify.
Step 4: Select the Outlook account and tap Unlink from the menu below.
Before disabling Outlook sync, Gmail offers the option to delete copied emails or keep a copy of imported messages in Gmail. You can delete these synced emails from the inbox as it will free up space in your regular Gmail inbox.
