With the Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, iPhone users were exposed to something no one was looking forward to – a constant stream of spam invites that cluttered their calendars and flooded their iPhones with notifications. The worst part about these invitations is that if you “Decline” them, it will only fill your calendar with more invitations as the spammer realizes it is a valid Apple ID. If you are bothered by these annoying invitations, don’t worry, Here’s how to stop iCloud Calendar spam invitations:
Delete iCloud Calendar Spam Invites You Already Have
The first logical step is to clear your calendar and delete any spammy invites you receive. To do this, simply follow the steps below:
one. Launch the calendar app on your iPhone andCalendars” at the bottom of the page. Tap on “To organise“.
2. Tap on “Add Calendar“, and create a new calendar for spam invitations. Give me the name you want, I choose it”to forget“.
3. Now tap on the Spam activity you want to delete and then tap on “.Calendar“.
4. Change calendar for spam event “To forget. Go back to the home screen and Tap Calendars (at the end of the page) again.
5. Tap on “.I” aka information icon next to “Obliviate”. Next, scroll down and tap on “.Delete Calendar“.
After deleting the calendar, any spam invitations you added will be deleted and the spammer won’t know that you deleted their invitation. This way, your calendar will no longer be flooded with spam invites.
Block Future Calendar Spam Invites
Although we have managed to delete spam invitations without informing the spammer about our current identity, this does not mean that we will never receive them again. So, if you don’t want to be overwhelmed by more of these spam invites, here’s how to prevent them from coming:
one. Login iCloud.com on your Mac. You should do this from a desktop web browser, not your iPhone. Click “Calendar“.
2. Then, “settings gearClick the ” icon in the lower left corner of the screen and select the “Preferences“.
3. Click in Preferences. “Developed”, and below “invitations” section, select the radio button next to “Email [email protected]“.
This will forward all your event invitations to your email id. While that doesn’t mean you won’t receive spam invitations, your email provider will automatically filter out invitations that appear to be spam and only notify you of genuine invitations.
