iPhone 5s comes with an elegant new camera feature that allows users to record video at 120 frames per second; this means it plays four times slower than normal speed. This is a great feature for capturing fast-moving situations like sports or a passing car, but the slow motion feature doesn’t exactly work well with third-party services.
The slow motion camera feature on the iPhone 5s is a bit special, so if you were to record a slow motion video and immediately share it to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or other social networks, it wouldn’t play back in slow motion. , but instead just normal speed. However, there is a nifty app with which you can bypass this annoying hurdle and it’s called TruSloMo.
TruSloMo is free to download from the iTunes App Store, but you can upgrade to the Pro version for just $0.99. We’ll talk about the pro features further down, but meanwhile TruSloMo is an app where you edit a slow motion video like you do in the Photos app, but this time the app uses the slow motion features directly from Apple, with the default slow motion video, that the slow motion is added to the video but not permanently embedded .
Using TruSloMo
Before everything, download and install the app from the iTunes App Store. Then open it to get started:
When sharing the video, make sure you select the one TruSloMo made, as there will now be two different versions of the same video that look the same. Finally, the app will allow you to share slow motion videos on social networks which by default do not support iPhone 5s slow motion videos.
If you’re wondering which video I edited in the app, you can watch it below:
