How to Set Up Your Kindle Fire

If you have a Kindle Fire, we’re here to show you how to set it up, secure it, and set parental controls.

Setting up Kindle Fire takes about 15 to 30 minutes and you will need an Internet connection to set it up completely. You can connect to a home network later, so it’s okay to set it up in someone else’s home.

After showing you how to set up Kindle Fire and configure Kindle FreeTime if you plan to give it to a child, we’ll show you some apps to get you started. On the Amazon app store.

Kindle Fire Setup

While setup is a fairly easy process, make sure you do the following for the smoothest and easiest way to get your Kindle Fire up and running.

The first thing to do is to set the native language of the device. Once the main language is set, the next step is to connect to a WiFi network. The reason the device connects to WiFi is because it can be set up with an existing Amazon account or the user can create one.

Search for the WiFi network you use at home and enter the security key if needed.

After connecting to the WiFi network, log into the Amazon account if you already have it. If not, follow the steps to create an account.

When you’re done, select the time zone you live in and confirm your Amazon account.

You can then enter your Facebook and Twitter information to make posting and tweet sharing much easier.
