This feature for iPhone was big news this week and made a lot of noise, but it’s actually been available on Android for a long time. Instructions
On any desktop or Mac, go to Google Search or Google.com and type “send directions” and hit enter or click search. Google search knows what you’re trying to do and instantly locates your Android device and lets you enter a destination. Select which device you want to send directions to in the top right (mine says Nexus 6), then click “send directions to my phone” in the bottom left and that’s it.
What you see above is how it will look on the computer. Users receive an almost instant notification on any Android smartphone or tablet and opens to Google Maps with a one-touch button to get directions to the destination shown and instant navigation. Google Search will tell you that directions have been sent and they will be on your phone shortly.
