How to Restore Old iPhone Ringtones in iOS 7

iOS 7 is out (like the new iPhone 5s) and with it comes a whole host of new features. One of these new features is brand new ringtones and text tones that you can use to free yourself from old ringtones that you have had to use for years. These new ones are more realistic and more modern than their predecessors found in iOS 6 and older.

However, if you’re fussy about old ringtones and can’t part ways with them, you can still use them in iOS 7. They’re still in the same place as before in the Settings app, but they’re hidden in their own section that you can’t find at first glance. Here’s how to access old ringtones and go back to the “old” days of iOS.

Get Back Old Ringtones

To stop using new ringtones and start using old ones, simply open the Settings app and go to . Scroll down until you get to the section. This is where you will set all the ringtones and alert tones on your phone. The first two choices ( and ) are the two most important and are the choices you will hear the most.

In each section, you can tap to select a pre-made vibration pattern, or create a custom vibration pattern if the provided ones don’t do it for you.

To do this, select . You will then touch the screen to start creating your own vibration pattern. When you’re done, just tap and play to see (or rather feel) if this is what you want.
