It’s been years since Microsoft brought its own notification channel to Windows 10 with new APIs and Action Center, but it’s been a disappointing experience so far. Especially when using Chrome, notifications lag and Action Center doesn’t show action buttons, which isn’t really helpful. So if you’re happy with Chrome’s native notification on Windows 10, here’s how you can enable it. You just need to disable a Chrome flag and that’s it.
Restore Chrome’s Native Notification on Windows 10 (2021)
1. Open chrome://flags
and search for “local notifications”. Now, click the dropdown menu and disable.
2. Then, “restartPress the ” button in the lower right corner to apply the changes.
3. Now, if you get a notification in Chrome, Won’t use Windows 10’s notification APIinstead it will direct you through its own channel which is much faster and has quick action buttons.
4. Also, in Chrome’s native manifest there is also a quick option to block or allow a notification from appearing again.

So you can restore Chrome’s native notification in Windows 10 with just one flag change. Google is making changes to Chrome to make it adaptable to the platform it runs on.
