With this new feature, Twitter users can choose to get rid of their followers without having to block them. This feature should help curb targeted harassment to at least some degree, and that’s exactly what Twitter was hoping for with this rollout. Remove Followers on Twitter (2021)

In Android and iOS apps, you will have to rely on the old technique of blocking and unblocking someone to remove them from your followers list. Method 1: Remove Twitter Followers from User Profile
1. Open your Twitter account in your preferred web browser and open the profile of the person you want to remove from your followers list. Here, Click on the horizontal ellipsis menu to the left of the DM or Follow button.
2. Select newly added from the list of options displayed. ‘Remove this follower’ choice.
3. When the confirmation prompt appears, click the red ‘Remove’ button. And that’s it. You have successfully removed one of your followers with just two clicks.
Now, it’s worth noting that Twitter will not notify the follower of your decision to remove them from your follower list. They will no longer see your tweets on their timeline. If you’d rather never be bothered by a certain person on Twitter again, or if you haven’t received the feature yet, you can choose to block the account instead. To block someone on Twitter, follow these steps:
1. Open the profile of the person you want to block and click on the three dots menu To view the option to block the user

3. When the confirmation popup appears, hit ‘Block’ again to finally block the Twitter user and remove them from your follower list.
