You must verify your identity to unlock.” Fortunately, there are multiple methods to authenticate and regain access to a locked or disabled Apple ID. So How Do We Get Rid of the Lock?
The easiest way to unlock from an Apple ID is to verify your identity using the associated phone number or email ID. But what if you have trouble accessing the verification code sent via mail/SMS? No problem, you can still complete the process by answering the security questions you chose when creating the Apple ID. In the event that all else fails (Most likely. But, unexpected things happen in life.), there is still a way to cross the line. So let’s get started, shall we?
Regain Access to a Locked or Disabled Apple ID
The first two steps outlined below are the same for all four methods. Therefore, apply them first and they will move on to the methods that suit you best.
1. Start a web browser and per iforgot.apple.com.
2. Now, enter your locked number Apple ID email in the box and click Go on. Then you can access your account in various ways.
Method 1: Regain Access to Locked Apple ID Using Phone Number
If you had linked your phone number to your Apple ID, it would be much easier to regain access to it. Simply, enter phone number and click on Go on.
Now a popup will appear on all the devices you have signed into iCloud. Simply click Click “Allow” or “Show” in the notification and then follow the onscreen instructions to reset your password.
Note:
- Using a device to reset passwords is a very safe and easy way to regain access to your Apple ID. That way, even if someone can access your device, they won’t be able to use your device.
- If you cannot access your device, click on it. “My device cannot be accessed”. Then you will have the option to reset your password when signing in on another device like iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Mac.
Method 2: Regain Access to Disabled Apple ID Using Email
If you haven’t added your Apple ID and phone number, or if you want to use your associated email address to access your account, “my password” option selected “Choose the information you want to reset:” screen. Next, click Go on.
On “Please choose how you want to reset the password” make sure the screen “Get an e-mail” option is selected. Next, click Go on. After that, you will receive a verification code via email, which you can use to reset the password.
Method 3: Regain Apple Account Access by Answering Security Questions
As mentioned above, you can also unlock your Apple ID by answering a few security questions you entered when creating the account. These questions are pretty simple, so what is your dream job? What was the name of your first pet? etc – of course, only if you still remember them.
be sure “Answer security questions” option is selected. After that, click on Go on to continue. Answer these questions successfully. Then go ahead and reset your Apple ID password as usual.
Method 4: Contact Apple Support
Another reliable way to unlock Apple ID is to call Apple support at 800-APL-CARE (800-275-2273) and ask for help. Also, you can chat online with an Apple expert.
