Go to the store to find your consumables. Take your smartphone and the removable support from your tripod with you to make a mock-up of your work at the hardware store. If possible, you should look for an L-shaped bracket that already has a whole you can use. If not, you’ll also need a drill and a 1/4-inch drill bit.
Choose a similar-looking L-shaped bracket from your hardware store.
Attach the L-shaped bracket to your tripod mount and secure it with the wing nut. Using a wing nut allows you to quickly attach and detach your smartphone tripod adapter from your tripod. If you purchased a T-Plate, you will need to bend it into the correct shape using the edge of a counter or table.

Place one side of your velcro on the L-shaped bracket.
Place the other side into your smartphone case. We do not recommend plugging it directly into your smartphone as it would be cumbersome to remove and is likely to cover your battery compartment.
