Playerunknown’s BattleGrounds or PUBG is undoubtedly the most common game on the planet right now. Recording record sales on PC and Xbox One, the game made its way to smartphones in China in partnership with Tencent. Now, if you’re someone who lives outside of China but wants to experience the games on smartphone devices, read on as we show you how to download and install PUBG on both Android and iOS devices:
note: Regardless of the operating system you are trying, you will need a QQ account, which you can create by following the link. here. Also, note that both games are currently in Early Access. You may experience lag as the servers are only in China.

Install PUBG on Android
note: I tried the method on my OnePlus 5T running Android Oreo 8.0 and the method worked just fine.
one. Download and install TapTap App Store on your Android device here.
2nd row, Open TapTap App Store and search for “PUBG”. Alternatively, you can visit the following direct links:
- PUBG: Army Attack (Arcade style game with naval battles)
- PUBG: Thrilling Battleground (mirror of the original game available on PC)
3. That’s it. After downloading the game, just login with your QQ IDand you are ready to go.

Install PUBG on iPhone or iPad
note: I tried the following method on my iPhone X and iPhone 8 Plus running iOS 11 and the method worked just fine.
1. To get started, first go to: Settings -> General -> Language and Regionand change the region to: “Chinese”.
Next up, go to: Settings -> iTunes & App Store. Tap on your Apple ID and then tap on it. “View Apple ID”. Now, change the region of your App Store to: “Chinese”.
note: You will be prompted to enter your address and phone number. If you don’t have real credentials, you can generate random details. here.
3. Now that you’ve done this, simply Go to App Store and search for PUBG. Alternatively, you can follow the links below:

4. After downloading the game you want, start the game and login with your QQ ID.
note: Users can also use their WeChat account to link/create an account in the game. However, during our initial testing, we found it to be a tedious task. Therefore, we recommend using or creating a QQ account for a smooth process.

And that’s it. I personally tried both versions of PUBG on both Android and iOS devices. Despite the games being in Early Access, the performance is great and mostly fluid. While the latency is minimal, it can differ based on how far you are from the game’s servers. I think so too. But what about you?
