If you go to a website and download an app (also known as an APK) with Google Chrome, you need to give Google Chrome permission to install it. If you’re using a different browser or 3rd party app, you’ll need to allow it as well. That way, apps and websites cannot infect your device with malware. This ensures that a master setting does not leave your device completely vulnerable.
