This fall, Microsoft, the makers of the Xbox One entertainment console, will try to do the magic for the third time. The new Xbox One Experience is an opportunity for Microsoft to change the conversation around the Windows 10 operating system and refocus attention on what it does best: make great software.
Microsoft has so often refreshed its previous video game console, the Xbox 360, with new software that many say they feel like they have a new box of entertainment every year. Cloud game saves, improved party chat, beacons for gathering groups of friends, these were all gaming features added in software updates after the Xbox 360 hit store shelves. Entertainment enthusiasts ended up with downloadable apps from major streaming services, better support for video files, and a music streaming service from Microsoft.
Microsoft plans to launch the New Xbox One Experience this November. It is currently preparing to make the software available to Xbox Preview Program members. The new Xbox One Experience features a revamped design, easier ways to perform popular activities, and Microsoft’s Cortana Personal Assistant. The update comes with support for playing Xbox 360 games on Xbox One.

Here’s what we know so far about the new Xbox One Experience.
Getting Started with the Xbox Preview Program
Getting the new Xbox One Experience begins with being accepted into Microsoft’s Xbox Preview Program. This is the same program that started offering early access to Xbox 360 Backward Compatibility earlier this year.
The Xbox Preview Program receives updates from users before they become available to everyone else. Microsoft releases updates so that it can collect feedback on features that work properly and features that don’t. Users submit feedback via a dedicated app in the console.
To enter the Xbox Preview Program, users need an invitation from Microsoft. Gamertags of friends and family can be submitted to Microsoft for consideration, but Microsoft has the final say on who gets let in. Microsoft recently announced that the Xbox Preview Program has reached capacity. Because of this, the company had to slow down the number of new people it took in.

If you’re already in the Xbox Preview Program, you’ve done pretty much everything you need to do by now.
Join the New Xbox One Experience Preview
This week, Microsoft started sending messages via Xbox Live to users who are members of the Xbox Preview Program. Major Nelson. It seems that everyone on the Xbox Preview Program got the message, although some predicted it would only hit a certain number of people.
The message does nothing but inform users that the new Xbox One Experience is on its way and Microsoft is looking for users to test it out. When users click Launch Application in the message, they are directed to the Xbox Preview Program Dashboard. This dashboard contains all the information Microsoft has ever made public.
If you want to receive the new Xbox One Experience when it’s available, you’ll need to select the Console Enroll option in the Xbox Preview Dashboard app on your console and switch it to the New Xbox One Experience. That’s all for now; Microsoft has yet to send the update to anyone. When it’s ready to let users get the update, it will start approving users as it defines wave. People in earlier waves will be the ones who have sent the most feedback about their experience so far. Even if you are one of the first to receive the message and sign up for the preview, you may not receive the preview immediately when it is released.
Why You Shouldn’t Install The New Xbox One Experience
It’s tempting, but do yourself a favor and avoid the New Xbox One Experience for now. Microsoft couldn’t be clearer, but it is under active development. There are bugs and problems. Some are very serious.
For this first version, Xbox Fitness, Destiny: The Taken King, Pool Nation FX, Elite: Dangerous, Skylanders, Unmechincal, Gucamelee and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection may not start. Forza6 there is a graphic problem
Apps and video experience are also affected. ABC News, VUDU, Sling TV, WWE, Showtime Anytime, Every Street United, Overdog, Blinkbox, ReddX and TWC TV may not start sometimes. Syfy, USA Now, Bravo Now, TED and MLB There are video streaming issues.
Games can get stuck in the download queue. Voice commands in Microsoft Edge, console browser not working. Party chat and System Updates may fail. To fix all these issues, you need to restart your console. The Live TV app is seriously behind the current Xbox One experience in terms of connecting to cable boxes.
Don’t be in a rush to test the new Xbox One Experience blind. There will be problems. The only way to stay hassle-free is to keep the solid Xbox One software experience you currently have. Exiting the program involves a full reset.
