How to Disable Samsung App Permission Tracking Notifications
It’s a good idea to know what’s going on with your smartphone. Samsung’s App Permission Monitor notifies you of what permissions each app has access to. That way, if you download a flashlight app and it tries to read your messages or go online, you’ll know something suspicious is going on.
If an app is trying to access things outside of its normal operation, you will receive app permission tracking notifications. However, sometimes you get notifications when you shouldn’t, or they’re really annoying and pop up every day. So let’s get rid of them.
From here you can flip the switch and turn off Samsung’s Galaxy App Permission Monitor tool completely. And while it’s your choice, you wouldn’t know if anything suspicious happened next.
Instead, we recommend tapping on (words, not the passkey) and customize which apps actually send notifications. Basically, you can toggle app permission notifications on and off for BxActions, Textra, Gboard, or anything else you’re constantly getting notifications for.
For even deeper controls, tap any app in this list and uncheck which permission your phone is actually tracking. That way, this tool will still keep an eye on Textra, but not notify you every time you send or receive a message.
If you’re getting notifications for multiple different apps, tap back and turn off multiple notifications. Tap the home button when you’re done and you’re ready. Before you go, take a look at 35 other Galaxy S9 tips and tricks.
