Fans of the series were excited when Bethesda announced this year’s version of the Pip-Boy Edition, the $200 Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition.
Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition would come with a genuine Power Armor helmet, a glow-in-the-dark terrain map, collectible figures, a steel book case, bonus in-game items, and a military-style canvas West Tek duffel bag.
When the Power Armor Edition arrived in November, those who managed to purchase the pack received a helmet, map, collectible figures, a steel book case, bonus in-game items, and a bag. It’s not just the gym bag the company promises on the package.
Almost immediately, we started seeing complaints about the quality of the bag made of nylon. An inexpensive replacement for the original. The transition came without warning and sparked a back and forth between Bethesda and those who felt rightly deceived by the company’s unannounced move.
It took a few weeks, but Bethesda is fixing things. The company has confirmed plans to deliver replacement bags to anyone who purchases the Power Armor Edition and wants a higher quality canvas bag.
How to Get Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition Spare Bag?
If you’ve purchased a Power Armor Edition and are looking to purchase a new canvas bag, there are a few steps you must take to install it.
First, you need to track your receipt and take a picture or scan a copy of your proof of purchase. You will then need to write your full name, Bethesda.net username and email address on your receipt/invoice.
After you take care of it, you will need to Go to Bethesda’s website and fill out a form (you must provide your full name, shipping address and phone number) and attach a picture of your receipt/invoice to your submission.
Bethesda said it is currently finalizing production plans for the canvas bags and will begin shipping replacement bags to qualifiers as soon as they’re ready.
One caveat: You must submit your replacement request by January 31, 2019. After that you are on your own.
