iPhone 7 battery life issues keep popping up and today we want to show you how to fix them.

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are excellent devices, but they are far from perfect. We continue to hear about various issues plaguing the two flagships as we head into 2020.

The current list of issues includes broken Wi-Fi, issues with various first and third party apps, broken Bluetooth, and abnormal battery drain.

iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus battery life varies from person to person, but if you’re sure your device is draining faster than usual, you’ll want to take action.

While your first instinct is to go to a local Apple Store for diagnostic tests, you can fix your bad iPhone 7 battery life from home.

There are a number of possible fixes on the market and we would like to review some tips and fixes that have worked well for us today and others in the past.

Restart Your iPhone 7

A simple reboot can improve your phone’s battery life.

If you haven’t turned off your iPhone 7 for a while, try restarting it. This fix has worked for us and others in the past and will only take a minute or so.

Wait a few days

If you’ve just turned on your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus, or have recently installed a new iOS update and are starting to notice that the battery is draining weirdly, don’t worry. This is normal and it may take a few days for your device to get used to it.

If your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus is still showing abnormal battery drain after two days, it’s time to go a little further.

Use Low Power Mode

Your iPhone 7 comes equipped with a feature called Low Power Mode, allowing you to extend the last 10-20% of your iPhone 7’s battery life without turning off essential services. If you are experiencing an abnormal decrease or just want to save some battery life, start using this feature.

If your iPhone drops to the 10-20% battery mark, you should get an alert asking if you want to turn it on.

You can also turn it on manually from your iPhone 7’s settings if you think you need it before that. Go to Settings, tap Battery and turn on Low Power Mode.

If you are using iOS 12, you can add Low Power Mode to Control Center. Go to Settings, tap Control Center, tap Customize Controls and tap the green plus sign next to Low Power Mode.

Use Airplane Mode When You Have Bad Service

When you are in a bad service area, it will be extremely difficult for your iPhone 7 to pick up a signal. This can corrupt your device’s battery. You can do a few things to balance this out.

If you’re having trouble turning off all your services, you’ll want to switch to Airplane Mode. Airplane Mode will cut all your connections and help you save battery when you start noticing a big drop.

You can go directly to your Settings to turn on Airplane Mode. Just above. You can also access it from the Control Center. Swipe up from the bottom of your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus to access Control Center.

Turn off Airplane Mode when you leave the bad service area.

Turn off Location Services

Location services like GPS can ruin your iPhone 7’s battery life. If you’ve ever used Google Maps or Waze, you know what we’re talking about.

To help conserve your device’s battery life, you’ll want to know what services are active on your iPhone 7.

To do this, go to Settings > Privacy. You can turn off Location Services completely by turning it off, but we recommend reviewing your apps to determine which apps should use your services and when.

If there’s an app you barely use while running in the background, you’ll want to limit its capabilities. You can do this with a simple transition.

Control Your Apps

You will also want to master your practices. If you use an app a lot, it will suck up your battery life. However, if you’re sure it’s consuming more battery than it should, you’ll want to investigate.

First, you’ll want to go to your Settings and find the Battery Usage tool. It’s located in Settings > Battery. It will appear under the Battery Usage heading. This tool will show you the apps that are draining the battery of your iPhone 7.
