Often times, if your Apple Watch gets stuck on a black screen with the Apple logo, the device will get stuck in a boot loop where it constantly tries to restart itself. This issue may be difficult to fix, but there are some possible solutions to help you get stuck Apple Watch.

In this guide, we’ll show you some quick and easy steps to take if your Apple Watch freezes on the Apple logo.

How to Fix Apple Watch Stuck on Apple Logo

Force Restart

First, try force restarting your Apple Watch. This button combination will only force your watch to restart itself. You will not lose any data.

Force restarting your Apple Watch should resolve it from the Apple logo.

  1. Press and hold the side button and the Digital Crown at the same time. The Digital Crown is the spinner on the side of your Apple Watch.
  2. Keep holding these two buttons until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

Note that you may have to try this method several times to get the device to reboot properly. If you keep getting stuck on the Apple logo, try the next step.

Unpair your Apple Watch

You can try to unpair your Apple Watch from your iPhone and see if that helps you disconnect your Apple Watch from the Apple logo screen.

After unpairing your Apple Watch with your iPhone, try to force restart the Watch. If you can get it to work properly, you should now pair your Apple Watch with your iPhone.

Update Your Apple Watch

If you want to prevent your Apple Watch from getting stuck on the Apple logo in the future, make sure to keep your device updated with Apple’s latest watchOS software.

To make sure you’re running the latest version of watchOS, go to the Watch app on your iPhone. While there, do the following:

You’ll also want to make sure your iPhone is running the latest iOS version.

Erase Your Apple Watch

If you’re constantly experiencing this issue, you may want to wipe your Apple Watch and start from scratch. This is a tedious process, but it can completely solve the problem.

If you’re using an Apple Watch with a cellular data plan, you actually see two options: Erase All and Erase All and Keep Plan. If you want to completely erase your Apple Watch, choose Erase All. If you want to delete and then restore your cellular plan intact, select Delete All and Keep Plan.

You can also erase your Apple Watch via your iPhone:

Once this process is complete, you will need to go through the pairing process with your iPhone.
