Since its release in February 2019, Apex Legends has been one of the most popular Battle Royale games among gamers. Respawn is very aggressively bringing new updates to the game on a regular basis and releasing Battle Pass seasons a month after launch. So, today developers Update for the fifth season. While this update brought a lot of new things to the game along with the new legendary Loba, it also brought with it one of the most frustrating bugs of all time.
Now, I downloaded and installed the update as soon as it arrived and I couldn’t wait to enjoy playing with Loba. So after waiting for Origin to download and upload over 40 gigs of data, I excitedly launched the game.
At first, the game often took more time than it should have to load game data. Again, the real problem started when i went to the friend list page. As soon as I entered the segment, the game crashed without any errors or anything. After that, the game kept crashing every time I opened it, which made me very angry.
So, I did some digging and found many players have the same problem right after the last update. passing reddit, I saw that some players complained about this situation. However, by going through the comments under the thread mentioned above, I found the solution to this problem and it worked like a charm for me.
Here’s How To Fix Apex Legend’s Crash Issue On PC
Here is how you can fix this annoying crashing error.
- Open origin on your desktop.
- Go “My Game Library” from the left menu bar.
- right click On Apex Legends.
- To find “Repair” and click to start the process.
Now, after clicking the “Repair” button, the client will start verifying the game files on your device. This process may take some time as the program needs to verify more than 40GB of data.. After verifying the game files, in my case the client started downloading an additional 16GB of data which took about 45 minutes to complete.
However, after this download, when I started the game, it worked perfectly as it should, without any signs of crashing or data loading issues. Seems like latest patch not installing update properly leaving more than 16GB of game data.
