The Nintendo SNES Classic will go on sale in a few hours, but the console will likely be hard to find in retail stores worldwide.
Finding the NES Classic was extremely difficult. And while Nintendo says that planning To ship “significantly” more SNES Classics, stock shortages have already hit the console before its release date.
Nintendo’s SNES Classic goes on sale at the end of August, but popular retailers Amazon, best buy, Aimand Walmart sold out almost instantly. Luckily, some retailers will stock the SNES Classic on launch day.
Best Buys announced his plans It’s for the SNES Classic launch, and the company says the console should be available in around 1,000 stores nationwide.
The retailer says there will be a ticketing process similar to Black Friday, with SNES Classic consoles selling on a first come, first served basis. Ticketing starts at 7 am local time.
Walmart stores will begin selling the SNES Classic starting Midnight local time, although not all stores are open 24 hours. If you have a Walmart location nearby, be sure to call ahead.
Target and GameStop will also own SNES Classic stock, though the amount will vary by location. We recommend calling hours in advance and buying advice.
