I mean, wouldn’t it be better if you could customize your feed to show only the latest videos or videos that you couldn’t finish due to busy schedules? Most likely, you would. Looks like Google has found a nice way to let you filter your YouTube subscriptions feed on iPhone and iPad. If you want to give this brand new feature a shot, now is the time to get started!
Filter Subscriptions Stream on YouTube for iPhone and iPad
The YouTube app for iOS was recently updated to add a new feature called “Topics” to help users catch up with their favorite creators. With multiple filtering options, it allows them to fine-tune their subscription streams to their liking. Moreover, it provides a way to have the feed show only videos or both videos and community posts.
1. Your device running the latest version between YouTube application. (Open App Store -> Profile -> find YouTube and update as usual). After updating the app, launch it and tap on it. subscriptions tab below.
2. You should now see multiple filters on the top row of followed channels.
- Everything: It is selected by default and shows all videos from channels you subscribe to.
- Today: Displays all videos posted in the last 24 hours.
- Continue Watching: Shows videos you haven’t finished yet.
- unwatched: It lists all the videos you haven’t watched yet.
- Live: Displays live streaming videos and YouTube Premieres.
- Posts: Sorts community posts from channels you subscribe to.
Choose your preferred option and you are ready to go. Going forward, the app will list videos based on how you filter your subscriptions.
If you wanted to go back to the old reverse chronological order, tap on it. subscriptions tab and select Everything choice.
Make YouTube Subscription Stream Show Both Videos and Broadcasts or Only Videos
1. Start YouTube app on your device -> subscriptions tab.
2. Now swipe from right to left on the carousel. Settings Select and tap on .
3. Next, Two options choose from:
Videos and posts: Select this to show both videos and community posts in the subscriptions feed. It is checked by default.
Videos only: Select to have the feed show only videos.
Choose the option you want and you’re ready to go!
