How to Easily Install Galaxy S6 Screen Protector

Now that the Samsung Galaxy S6 has been on the market for a few months now, users are probably starting to get some wear and tear on the impressive new smartphone. Those who haven’t added a screen protector will want to check out our how-to video below to help them easily install the Galaxy S6 screen protector.

Installing a screen protector can be a hassle. Most of the time you don’t get it right, air bubbles, even some dust gets under the screen and it looks awful and bubbling all over the place until you remove it. If you want a perfect Galaxy S6 screen protector setup, you’ll want to watch our video below.

Popular external battery and case manufacturer TYLT is one of many different groups that offers screen protectors for the Galaxy S6. What we’re going to use today is a tempered reinforced glass screen protector with some easy alignment tabs to help users get it set up right on the first (or second) try.

If you’re like me, you want your screen protector to be perfect. I have what some might call OCD when it comes to my electronics and smartphones, and that’s especially true of my screen protectors. If it doesn’t line up perfectly or has a single bubble, I’m starting over.

There are hundreds of screen protectors available for the Galaxy S6, but choosing a good brand like TYLT, Bodyguardz, InvisibleShield or others is your best bet. I’m using a TYLT here, it’s a relatively good option for a low price.

Instead of the traditional water solution they ask you to spray on your device and then give you a small tool to remove all the air bubbles, TYLT has a tool to make it perfect so you don’t have to wet your screen protector and to try to slide into place. This will never work anyway, so this is a welcomed release for any buyer to purchase.

Instructions and Video

This product is called TYLT Alin Glassand owners and users for a range of devices Buy one for $29.99 For Galaxy S6. It comes with a tempered glass screen protector, a microfiber cloth to clean your screen, a card with tape to clean bubbles or remove lint, and an alignment tool. We recommend using the cleaning cloth to remove any bubbles, if any. The easy installation alignment tabs are the best part and make installation extremely easy.

The first tab is the sticky part, so take it out and put it face down on your screen. Align with tabs and drop. You’ll want to make sure the air conditioner or fan is not turned on as dust can blow under the screen during installation. From here remove all the bubbles, remove the second layer of protection and you’re done.

Take your time and align it right the first time (something I didn’t do) and you’ll be done in less than 2 minutes. I didn’t get it right the first time I tried to tilt my camera, but on my second try it was perfect. The screen protector isn’t huge either, so the cases won’t hit the raised glass causing it to slowly rise and bubble.

Earlier versions of the TYLT Alin would have come with 3-4 screen protectors, but you will only need one as this is a durable tempered glass. It should resist scratches and drop extremely well. And if it gets a scratch, pull it out and your Galaxy S6 underneath will be like new.
