Start Screen and Windows 8‘s new interface may make it a little more difficult for some users to get things done. On the other hand, the new Windows Store makes it incredibly safe and easy for Windows 8 users to download videos using YouTube apps created by third parties. Here’s how to download YouTube videos on Windows 8:
Go to by pressing the Windows key on your keyboard or swiping from the right edge of your screen to the left and tapping the Windows button.
Click or tap the icon of the Start Screen. Look for the tagged app and tap or click on it.
Tap or click in the Windows Store. Next, enter the name of a free Windows Store app that allows Windows 8 and Windows RT devices like Surface and Surface 2 to download YouTube apps.

Click or tap the button at the top left of your screen.
Give the app a few seconds to load. Once complete, you will see a pop-up notification on the right side of your screen. Click on it to access MegaTube immediately. You can also access the app the same way you first opened the Windows Store by going to the Start Screen and clicking the arrow at the bottom.
Once inside, enter the name of the video you want to download in the search box. In our example, we searched for Transformers.
Tap or click the video you want to download from the search results.
Click or tap the button below the video when it starts playing. After the download is complete, MegaTube will display a notification on the right side of your screen.
Click or tap in the upper left corner of your screen to return to the app’s home screen.
Click or tap to get a list of your downloaded videos.
All videos downloaded via MegaTube are saved in the Videos folder on your PC. If you have your Windows 8 tablet or PC set to store media on an external hard drive or flash card, MegaTube will save it there. Click or tap the name of the registered person you want to monitor. Then click or tap to watch that video on Xbox Video or another default desktop app.
From now on, that video is stored on your PC and you can play it whether you have internet access or not. It is important to remember that the video takes up a lot of space. Therefore, users who download a lot of videos can quickly find themselves freeing up space on their Windows 8 device.
