Spotify, one of the world’s leading music streaming services, is unfortunately not available in India. While I can’t understand why they did this, the good news is that in India you can continue to use Spotify and listen to the entire Spotify library. You can easily install Spotify on Android. Creating a US Apple ID
The iTunes Store uses the region of your Apple ID to decide which country’s store is displayed on your iPhone. This means that as long as you have an Apple ID with the region set to the US, you should be able to access the US store and download the apps available there. To create a new Apple ID for the US store, simply follow these steps:
note: Make sure you have access to an email ID that has not been used to create an Apple ID in the past. If necessary, you can use a temporary email id from services such as: teleosaurs. - Go to Apple ID Web siteClick and “Create your Apple ID“. Fill in all the details in the form, enter the captcha and click. “Go on”
- a Verification Code From Apple, enter the next screen and click “Go on”.
- simply Sign in with your new email id and password. You may be asked security questions, so make sure you have answers ready.
When you complete these steps, you have an Apple ID that can purchase (or download) from the US App Store. Let’s continue.
Switch to US App Store and download Spotify on iPhone
Now that you have a valid US-based Apple ID, simply switch to the US App Store on your iPhone and you will be able to download Spotify very easily. Follow the steps below:
- Go to App Store on your iPhone, scroll down, Tap your Apple IDand then “Sign out“.
- then you can sign in to your new Apple ID. Since your Apple ID is US based, you will automatically switch to the US store.
- Then you can use the search function in the App Store to search for Spotify (Free).
After doing that, you will be able to download and use Spotify on your iPhone.
Using Spotify in India
Now that you have Spotify installed on your iPhone, it’s time to install and run it. The process is actually quite simple. If you want to use Spotify’s free tier, you can launch the app and sign up. However, if you want to use Spotify Premium, you must subscribe to their Premium plan, which requires a US-based credit card.
