How to Disable Bixby Voice and Bixby Page

After months of waiting, Bixby Voice has started rolling out to Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ smartphones around the world. In an attempt to compete with voice assistants like Google Assistant, Siri, Alexa, and Cortana, Samsung has actually done a pretty good job with Bixby. In fact, Bixby has the edge over its competitors when it comes to performing complex actions within apps. To further strengthen its position, Samsung has also introduced the Bixby page on the home screen, which is very similar to the Google Assistant page. However, as good as Bixby, voice recognition only works in a few languages ​​(English (US) and Korean) for now. On the other hand, Google Assistant also comes pre-installed on these devices. Disable Bixby Voice

If you were to use Bixby Voice, you could long press the Bixby button, say “Hello, Bixby” or access it from the Bixby Cards page. But if you want to disable it, here are the steps:

  • Go to the Bixby Home page by swiping right on your home screen. There, Tap the three-dot menu and select “Settings”.

  • Here, Turn off the setting that says “Bixby Voice”. When confirmation is requested, Tap on “Close”.

With these easy steps, Bixby Voice will no longer be available. If you change your mind in the future and want to enable it again, simply turn on the “Bixby Voice” option again.

Disable Bixby Page

As mentioned earlier, the Bixby page is similar to the one you get from Google Assistant Cards. With more use over time, you start to see more useful cards. However, if you want to disable it, long press home screen your device. Now swipe right until you see the Bixby Home page and then disable that page.
