Facebook is causing more and more distrust among users, and for good reason: the social network has multiplied bugs and left our personal data accessible to anyone who wants it, with some not afraid to use it for malicious purposes (cuckoo Cambridge Analytica). We already explained how to permanently delete a Facebook account, now we move on to closing a Messenger account. It is useful when you manage several profiles at the same time and you no longer need or want to associate it with your app, but keep your main account.
How to close your Facebook Messenger account?
To get rid of an account in Mark Zuckerberg’s instant messaging app, simply follow these steps:
- Enter the Facebook Messenger app on your Android smartphone
- tap on profile photoin the top right, next to the Facebook logo
- Scroll until you see the menu change account and choose it
- Select the account to be deleted from the existing ones
- Press three little dots
- choose Delete the account
And that’s it, done! You can repeat the process with any other account you have access to, as long as at least one original account remains.
