A handy app called Launch Center Pro lets you create shortcuts to anything on your iPhone and gives you quicker access to the app and settings.
Getting everything on your iPhone is pretty easy thanks to the simplicity of iOS 7, but there are some things you wish you could create shortcuts for. Fortunately, that’s where Launch Center Pro comes in.
The app is essentially a launcher that you can place on your iPhone or iPad’s dock and tap on it by pulling up a grid of all the shortcuts you’ve installed. You can do simple things like launch apps or turn on the flashlight, but Launch Center Pro goes much deeper than that.
Here are a few ways to create shortcuts for just about anything on your iPhone, and some examples you might want to take advantage of.
Installing Launch Center Pro
Launch Center Pro has versions for: both iPhones and iPad, they cost $4.99 each. This means that if you want to get the app for both iPhone and iPad, it will cost you $10. It’s definitely a steep price, but you’ll definitely get a lot of use out of it.
After installing the app, you can start customizing it and making it your own. Launch Center Pro will have a short tutorial to show you the basics of how the app works. This should at least get you going and allow you to create basic shortcuts without any hassle.
The application consists of two basic elements: Actions and Groups. Actions are different shortcuts you create, and Groups allow you to put a set of actions in a single folder. So, once you have an action group, all you have to do is open Launch Center Pro, tap and hold a group, then slide your finger over an action.
To create an action, simply tap the pencil icon in the upper right corner and the mark of any empty square. You will be prompted to create a Group or Action. If you only want to create a single action (rather than a group), tap on it.
Then you can browse through all the available actions and tap on it. We recommend starting with as they are already installed and ready to use and this will give you an idea of Launch Center Pro. You can also go to which are actions based on default apps and settings in iOS. consists of actions based on third-party apps you have installed.
Once you select the action you want, you can change the icon, schedule the action for a specific time, make a location-based action, and even play a notification sound when you trigger the action.

Of course, these are just a few examples that I use, and there is much more you can do with this app. If you have your own actions you use, feel free to shout it out in the comments below. We would love to hear them!
