How to Check Battery Percentage on iPhone X

If you’ve bought a new iPhone X, you may have discovered that there is no way to add a permanent battery percentage indicator to the phone’s status bar. Some iPhone X users are disappointed, but luckily there are several ways to quickly check the exact battery percentage on the device.

It’s unclear why Apple removed this option from the Settings app, but there is speculation that this may have something to do with the iPhone X’s lack of real estate in the status bar. Design decision or not, the change has some iPhone X users wondering how to see the device’s full battery percentage.

There are several ways to check iPhone X battery percentage, and we’ll guide you through four ways to quickly read your device’s battery life.

Use Control Center

One of the fastest ways to check your iPhone X battery percentage is via Control Center.

On older iPhones, Control Center is accessed by swiping up from the bottom of the screen. This is not the case with the iPhone X as it acts as a swipe home button from the bottom of the screen.

To access Control Center on iPhone X, you swipe in from the top-right corner of the screen. If done correctly, you will notice the above screen.

Now when you check the top right corner of the screen you will get a full battery percentage reading.

Charge Your iPhone X

Another quick method requires a Lightning cable and an outlet or wireless iPhone X charger. While your iPhone X is charging, you can easily check the battery percentage.

Press the Side button on the right side of the iPhone X to go to your lock screen and you will notice that the phone gives you precise information about your battery life.

ask Siri

If you have Siri enabled on your iPhone X, you can quickly ask for a reading on your iPhone X’s battery.

You can turn on Siri on iPhone X by holding down the side button or using Hey Siri. Simply “How long is my battery life?” ask. and Siri will tell you exactly how much battery life is left.

To control your widgets, go to your iPhone X’s home screen and swipe right.

If you’re connected to one device, you should see a battery life percentage reading for both your iPhone X and the other device, such as a case, headset, or Bluetooth powered speaker.
