How to change DNS servers on an Android smartphone?

For Change DNS servers for WiFi connections on your Android smartphonedo the following:

  • Long press the WiFi icon by sliding down the notification bar. You access the WiFi Settings.
  • Connect to an available network. Then long press on it.
  • Tap on the pop-up menu that opens. Edit Network Where Change network settings.
  • choose Show advanced settings.

  • Change the IP Settings option from DHCP to Static. You need a static local IP address to change DNS servers.

  • Enter an IP address or keep the one suggested by default.
  • Enter the DNS you want in DNS 1 and DNS 2 fields and save the changes.
