This guide will show you how to cancel iPhone subscriptions on iPhone and iPad. This is especially important as Apple forces subscriptions to purchase apps on a single payment, and many developers are quickly adding them to the mix.
With in-app subscriptions on iPhone and iPad, you can easily sign up for a weekly or monthly recurring payment ranging from $1 to $10. While some of these are worth the cost, other apps offer free trials and an exorbitant weekly fee. If you or your kids use a lot of apps, you should at least use this guide to check your iPhone or iPad subscriptions.
This will also show all the subscriptions you have started on the Apple TV. In-app subscriptions do not currently work with Family Share, so you will need to check them on each user’s device.
How to Cancel iPhone Subscriptions
The easiest way to cancel your iPhone subscriptions is to use your favorite iPhone or iPad. It’s embedded in the settings, and it would be nice if Apple offered it as a high-end option or even a stock app for managing subscriptions on iPhone and iPad.
- Open settings.
- Tap iTunes & App Store.
- Tap your Apple ID at the top.
- Tap on View Apple ID when a popup appears.
- Enter your Passcode or use TouchID or FaceID to login.
- Tap on Subscriptions at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap on the Subscription you want to cancel.
- Tap on Cancel Subscription.
- To cancel the subscription, tap Confirm, then Confirm again.
Until the end of the term, you will continue to benefit from all the benefits you get from the subscription. This is a nice touch and allows you to do so and keep trying right after you sign up for the free trial.
