iOS 9.2 was released earlier this month and came with a host of bug fixes, security fixes and some performance improvements overall. However, we have yet to see a jailbreak for this latest release.
An iOS 9 jailbreak was first released in October, about a month after iOS 9 was released; that was an insanely fast release timeline for this kind of jailbreak. However, that was the end of jailbreak when iOS 9.1 was released just a few weeks later.
Since then, we have yet to see a new jailbreak release, but rumors of an iOS 9.2 jailbreak have been circulating in the last few weeks, pointing to the possibility that we may see it soon.
However, we haven’t seen that yet, and we’re getting closer to 2016, pointing to the possibility that we won’t see a new jailbreak release in 2015. It’s not a huge deal and jailbreakers are known. patience as developers work on new jailbreaks for newer versions of iOS.

Perhaps the easiest way to create a notification to receive iOS 9.2 jailbreak news is to follow a Twitter account that is set up specifically to tweet only when a new jailbreak is released.
If you use Twitter, you can follow. @justnewjbit’s probably an automated Twitter account that only tweets when a new jailbreak is released, so it only posts a tweet when an iOS 9.2 jailbreak is released.
You can just follow the Twitter account and search for any tweet from that account in your feed, but you can enable notifications for that Twitter account so you get a notification on your phone when a specific Twitter user tweets.
In the Twitter for iPhone and Android app, you can tap the gear icon on that user’s profile page and then select . This will send you an alert whenever that user posts a tweet, and in that case, when @onlynewjb tweets come out, you’ll know a new jailbreak has been released.
Get Push Notification
If you don’t use Twitter or just want to get a simple push notification on your iPhone, you can use an app called IFAn automation service made by IFTTT that can connect tons of different services to do a lot of things.
To do this, download the IF app from the App Store. After downloading, open it and create an account.
After creating an account, tap the mortar and pestle icon in the upper right corner of the screen, then tap the plus icon. You can browse all kinds of recipes here, but we’re going to want to create our own here, so tap at the bottom.
The app does a good job of guiding you through the process, but we’re going to show you a little walkthrough to make it easy.
You will want to click on the blue plus icon and select the Reddit app. Next, you’ll have several options to choose from. Choose . You will type a search term in the text box so that when there is a new post that meets the search criteria, we will receive a notification for it. Since we want to be aware of an iOS 9.2 jailbreak release, we’re going to take advantage of some of Reddit’s advanced Fielded search options.

Once you enter that and continue, you will click on the second red plus icon. From here you will select the application and then select it on the next page. After that, you can write any message you want to appear when you get the notification on your iPhone. When you’re done, tap on the top right corner and then click on the next page to complete it all.
The recipe will now appear in your list of IFTTT recipes and you will receive a notification when an iOS 9.2 jailbreak is released.
