How to Add Showcase Weapon Camo in Black Ops 3

Your expert displays a weapon when you’re among the winners in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. This guide will show you how to add the Showcase Weapon Camo in Black Ops 3.

It takes about a minute to set up, but it’s not easy to understand without a guide because you have to create a custom version of the weapon and then add it to the Expert customization.

You will need to repeat this process for each camouflage you want to use on a different Showcase weapon. This process also allows you to add attachments and paints to the weapon using this method.

With this guide, you can even add addons you don’t have yet, because it’s a showcase weapon, not a weapon you need to use in-game.

Showcase Weapon Camo in Black Ops 3 Manual

Go to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s main menu, but don’t enter a lobby yet. This takes a minute to find and install options, so you don’t want to be drawn into a game while doing this.

Open Gunsmith to set camouflage for your showcase weapon.

Press the Menu button on your controller to open the Menu options where the Gunsmith is located. Open Gunsmith and find the weapon you want to use as your showcase weapon. In this case we use Vesper. You’ll have to name the variant, but the options are limited as Treyarch and Activision consider many words to be profanity.

Use this menu to select the camouflage, attachments and paint job you want to use.

Now select the addons and camouflage you want to use. In this case, we add three attachments and the Sunshine camo to Vesper so that it resembles the weapon we use in the game.

Customize your specialist to add camouflage or paint to the showcase weapon.

Next, you need to go to the Expert screen and choose to customize the expert. On Xbox One it’s Y. Select the Showcase Weapon on this screen.

Choose the variant with camouflage and attachments.

On the next screen, navigate to your newly customized weapon and select it. You should see an indication that there are variants of this weapon. Select the variant on the next screen. This will equip the Showcase weapon camo variant for your Specialist. You must do this for each Specialist you want to customize.

Once this is set, all you have to do is enter the top three in a game to see your player appear with the Showcase Gun. You can also taunt using the d-pad in this area. Of course, all this cannot help you avoid using Gravity Spikes at the edge of the map.
