Windows 11 is a huge upgrade over its predecessor when it comes to design and overall interface. Some of you may not be fans of the Windows 11 aesthetic and prefer Windows 11 to resemble Windows 10, but the vast majority seem to like it. Since Windows 11 does not natively have a system tray clock on multiple displays, Use an open source app called ElevenClock To bring back this useful feature. All you have to do is download and install the ElevenClock app to have the time displayed on both your monitors. Having said that, let’s get straight to the point.
1. Download the ElevenClock app from GitHub. You can do use this direct link To visit ElevenClock’s downloads page.
2. After downloading the file, double click the EXE file and you will get a standard setup wizard. Click ‘Next’ and follow the on-screen instructions to install ElevenClock.
3. Run the app after it’s installed, that’s it. You will now see a clock in the Windows 11 taskbar of all your monitors in a multi-monitor setup. As you can see in the screenshot below, ElevenClock brought back a second clock on my second screen.
Windows 11’s taskbar follows the clock animation when you hover over it. Also, if you want an alternative to the ‘Win + N’ Windows 11 keyboard shortcut to control your notifications, you can click on it to access the Notification Center. However, keep in mind that Notification Center will still appear on your primary screen.
4. From the app’s settings, you have options to hide the clock in full screen mode, show the seconds, data and time on the clock, and manage the update behavior. So yes, it’s pretty feature rich and gets the job done with ease.
