How to Add Bitmoji to Google Slides on Mobile and Desktop

We use emojis in our chats because they add an emotional touch to messages. The same can be done using PowerPoint or Google Slides for your schoolwork or a report presentation. However, we can add Bitmojis to our slides instead of using emojis. Wondering how to add Bitmoji to Google Slides? How to Add Bitmoji to Google Slides on Computer

Here are the steps:

1. Create Your Bitmojis on Mobile

First, you need to create your personalized Bitmoji from Bitmoji’s mobile apps. Below are links to download Bitmoji apps for Android and iOS. If you don’t have a Bitmoji avatar on your account, you’ll get an error when you log into your Bitmoji account on PC.

2. Add Bitmoji Extension to Browser

Next, you need to add the Bitmoji extension to Chrome or a Chromium browser like Microsoft Edge. To do this, open the Bitmoji extension from the link given below.

Click the Add to Chrome button. The extension will be installed for your browser. You’ll find it in the upper right corner of the browser. If you don’t see the Bitmoji extension, click the Extensions icon in Chrome. All installed extensions for the Chrome browser will appear. Click the Pin icon next to it to pin the Bitmoji extension to the extension bar for faster access.

Click on the Bitmoji extension. You will be asked to log into your Bitmoji account to access your Bitmojis. You don’t need the Snapchat app to use Bitmojis. But if you have a Snapchat account, you can use it to log into Bitmoji. If you don’t have one, you can also create a new Bitmoji account using your email ID. After logging in, follow the onscreen instructions to complete the login process.

Note: Make sure you have created a Bitmoji on your mobile first; otherwise you will get an error.

3. Add Bitmoji to Presentation

Start Slides.google.com and open the presentation where you want to add Bitmoji. Click on the Bitmoji extension in the extensions bar at the top. Your Bitmoji avatars will appear. In case this does not happen and Bitmoji continues to take you to the login page, close the browser and try again. When your Bitmojis appear, drag and drop the Bitmoji onto your slide. Pro Tip: If drag and drop isn’t working, you can even right-click on your Bitmoji avatar and select Copy image. Then paste it into your slide using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + V (Windows) and Command + V (Mac).

How to Add Bitmoji to Google Slides on Android

For Android phones, you will need to download the Bitmoji avatar from the Bitmoji app on your phone. Then add this avatar as an image to the Google Slides app. Here are the detailed steps:

Note: Bitmojis can also be added to various apps like WhatsApp from Gboard. However, adding Bitmojis from Gboard to Google Slides is not supported.

Stage 1: You will need to install the necessary apps, namely Google Slides and Bitmoji for Android.

Step 2: Open the Bitmoji app and log in with your account. You can use an existing Snapchat account or create a new Bitmoji account without Snapchat. If you don’t have one, create your Bitmoji avatar in the app.

Stage 3: Tap the Bitmoji avatar you want to use on your slide. You will see various sharing options. Swipe to finish until you see Save. Tap this to download Bitmoji to your phone.

Open Gallery and you will see the downloaded avatar. If the avatar is not downloaded, install the FX File explorer application. Then repeat step 3. Instead of selecting Save, tap the Save as button from FX File Explorer. This will download the Bitmoji avatar with no white background to your Android phone. If your avatar has a white background, use online tools to remove the background from the picture.

Step 4: Launch the Google Slides app and open the presentation where you want to add Bitmoji.

Step 5: Tap the insert (+) icon at the top of the required slide and select Image from the menu. You will get two options – From Photos and From Camera. Choose from photos.

Step 6: Go to the downloaded Bitmoji avatar. Tap on it to add it to the slide.

Note: I ran into some issues while downloading Bitmojis from the Android app. Either the photo was not downloaded or the same avatar was downloaded over and over even if I selected another avatar. I hope this doesn’t happen to you.

How to Add Bitmoji to Google Slides on iPhone and iPad

Similar to Android, you will download the Bitmoji avatar from the app to your iPhone or iPad. Then add it to your presentation. Here are the steps:

Stage 1: Download the Bitmoji and Google Slides apps to your iPhone or iPad. Log in with the required accounts and create a Bitmoji avatar in the Bitmoji app.

Step 2: Launch the Bitmoji app. Tap the avatar you want to use in Google Slides. The share page will open. Tap on Save Image. The photo will be downloaded to your device.

Stage 3: Open the Google Slides app and navigate to the required slide. Tap the Add (+) icon and choose Image > From Photos. Select the required Bitmoji image to add to the slide.

Tips for Using Bitmoji in Google Slides

Here are some tips for enhancing your Google Slides with Bitmojis.

Find Bitmojis

Use the search in the Bitmoji extension or in the app to find the appropriate avatar. For example, if you’re looking for a standing avatar, type standing or pose. Similarly, type sit or read to sit Bitmojis.

Move Bitmoji

After adding a Bitmoji to your slide, click the avatar to select it. Then drag using your mouse/touchpad (computer) or finger (mobile) to change its position.

Resize Bitmoji

Select the Bitmoji added to your slide. When you see a blue border around the Bitmoji, use any corner box/dot to resize the avatar while keeping the aspect ratio. You can also use other smaller boxes, but this will not balance the height and width of your avatar.

Change Bitmoji Order

Sometimes you will want to use Bitmoji in front of an object or hide it behind an object. In such cases, you can layer your Bitmoji avatar by sending it back or bringing it forward. To do this on a computer, select the Bitmoji avatar and then right-click on it. Choose Order. Choose the mode you want.

Tap and hold the avatar on mobile. Tap the three-dot icon and select Send back.

Animate Bitmoji

Other Formatting Options

Since Bitmoji is an image, you can take any action on the image in Google Slides. You can rotate and crop or recolor and add other effects. For this, right-click on the image and select Format on Computer.

On mobile, tap the avatar once. Various image editing options will appear at the bottom. Use them to change your avatar.
