Windows has had the same File Explorer interface for ages, with little or no change in appearance and file handling. Again, discovered a Redditor A hidden File Explorer in Windows 10 based on the newer UWP (Universal Windows Platform) standards. The new interface looks very modern and is consistently fluent in the design language. It doesn’t look old at all anymore and I absolutely love this new look. So, if you want to try the new File Explorer in Windows 10, follow the steps below.
Windows 10 Based UWP Based File Explorer
The steps are pretty simple so accessing it doesn’t take much time. But remember, new File Explorer is still under development so there may be some errors. Also, some popular features such as Pin to Quick Access or List View are currently unavailable. Having said that, let’s get started now.
Note: I tested the new File Explorer on both Windows 10 build 1903 and Insider and it worked pretty well. So, if you want to try it, make sure you are using the latest version of Windows 10.
1. All you have to do is copy the command below and paste it into any File Explorer window. After that hit enter and you will enter new explorer window.
