How can I watch SpaceX’s first crewed dock with the International Space Station?

On Saturday afternoon, SpaceX sent the first human crew into space for NASA aboard the company’s new Crew Dragon spacecraft – but the mission isn’t over yet. After spending almost a full day in orbit, two passengers on SpaceX’s vehicle, NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley, will attempt to dock with the International Space Station this morning.

SpaceX’s Crew Dragon features an automated docking system that uses an array of sensors and cameras to help the vehicle approach the ISS and then hold onto an available docking port. Crew Dragon successfully tested this technique last year when SpaceX sent a test version of the vehicle to the ISS without a crew on board. This time, however, the Crew Dragon will carry very valuable cargo.

The Crew Dragon can take Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley to the station alone, while the two astronauts plan to do some manual flights as they approach the ISS. Somewhere between 220 and 170 meters from the station, the crew will manually fly the capsule using the touchscreen interface inside the vehicle. Once they’re done, the automated system will re-engage and Crew Dragon will do the rest of the work to get to the station.

NASA is currently broadcasting around the clock on Crew Dragon’s mission, but things are kicking off this morning when Behnken and Hurley do a broadcast from inside Crew Dragon. Insertion will take place a few hours later at 10:29 PM ET. You may want to set it up a little earlier as things are currently progressing about 15 minutes ahead of schedule. All events will take place live on NASA’s TV stream above.

Update, May 31st at 09:05 ET: The article has been updated to indicate that the embed is working ahead of schedule.
