How Can I Fix Two of The Witcher 3’s Most Annoying Problems?

The Witcher 3 is one of the best games of the year, but it’s not without problems. Witcher 3 issues continue to plague Xbox One, PC and PS4 users even after the latest patch set. With that in mind, we want to tell you how to solve two of the most Witcher 3 problems we come across.

In May, CD Projekt Red finally released its third game in the Witcher series. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the culmination of three years of hard work, of hard work that pays off.

The Witcher 3 for PS4, Xbox One and PC is one of the best games of the year as it combines a beautiful world and complex characters with challenging combat and various missions. At least one reviewer graced the game with a perfect score. But The Witcher 3 isn’t perfect.

Witcher 3 issues have been plaguing its owners for several weeks. While some are minor, others like the Xbox One save issue have been extremely problematic for some users.

CD Project Red’s latest patches for PS4 and Xbox One have fixed many of these initial issues, but there’s still a long way to go. While it’s unclear when the next Witcher 3 patch will arrive for PC, PS4 and Xbox One users, the developer admitted that it’s working to fix some of the more glaring issues. Meanwhile, those encountering bugs will have to rely on third-party fixes.

How Can I Fix Two of The Witcher 3’s Most Annoying Problems?

We’ve been playing The Witcher 3 since it was released in May, and like many of you, we’ve run into issues with the game. One of the most annoying Witcher 3 problems we come across is the inability to talk to certain traders.

When we went to Blackbough to talk to a Blacksmith, or to the outskirts of Novigrad to speak to a hiding alchemist, there were times when we couldn’t talk to them for no apparent reason. They stand there but there is no option to talk to them. This is an extremely annoying problem because it can waste a ton of time. Fortunately, there is a simple fix for the problem.

If you come across an NPC (merchant or otherwise) that you should be able to talk to but can’t, here’s how to fix this annoying situation.

First, you’ll want to pause and save your game. After the game is saved, you will want to load the game you just saved. After you get past the loading screens, you should be able to interact with the NPC that you couldn’t interact with in the previous save.

The other annoying issue we’re running into is with merchants Geralt can’t interact with. Not because there is no dialog option, but because they are not available.

We are now aware that NPCs like us also need to sleep. For this reason, they are often stuck in their homes late at night. This is understandable. However, there were times when we tried to reach a Blacksmith in Novigrad or a merchant in a smaller town and that person is not available. We’re not talking 1am here, we’re talking midday when he’s not available.

Fortunately, there’s a quick little trick that usually makes them appear. Simply press start, go to Meditation and scroll to the closest possible time. When you return to the game, the NPC that did not appear when you first arrived should be waiting there to sell or buy goods.

Fortunately, CD Projetk Red preparing a new Witcher 3 patch set can solve this problem and more. The developer has today released a partial list of fixes that will arrive with the company’s next PC, Xbox One, and PS4 patches. Here’s the list of fixes available, we’ve bolded the one you’re likely to be interested in:
