Here’s how to pre-order Oculus Quest 2

Oculus has announced Quest 2, the next standalone VR headset that doesn’t require a PC. My colleague Adi Robertson wrote down everything you need to know about the new Quest 2 and even spent enough time with it to write a full review. The headset is available for pre-order from now: Oculus’ siteand will be available for purchase from October 13.

Says it’s partnered with Oculus best buy, GameStop, Target, and Walmart will stock the Quest 2 in their US stores and it will be available worldwide via Amazon. He also noted that Quest 2 will be available for Japanese retail for the first time at Bic Camera, Yamada Denki, Yodobashi Camera and Geo stores.

How much does the Oculus Quest 2 cost?

The Oculus Quest 2 VR headset starts at $299, which is $100 less than the first-gen model. That price will get you a headset with 64GB of storage, and an upgraded headset that costs $399 will get you 256GB of internal storage. Both headset configurations include two controllers.

If you want to connect the Quest 2 to your PC and run more powerful games that might otherwise not work with a headset, you can still purchase the Oculus Link cable or browse this one. Anker USB 3.0 Type-C cable much cheaper than Amazon.
